The Tamagotchi Plus Color was the first Tamagotchi to come with a color LCD screen. This toy's advance release was held in 2008 in Japan, and fans were able to buy TMGC+C a week before its actual release. The shell of this Tamagotchi was larger than the other versions and it came in eleven colors.

First wave colors included white, pink, black, green, magenta, orange and blue. The second wave added some new colors, including yellow, navy, cream and pink, and green and white. A used TMGC+C from 2008 sells for US$$200, while a new, unopened one sells for around US$$400.
