Muhammad Ali was one of the most famous boxers of all time. Memories used by or linked to Ali have made a lot of money, and some of the most expensive items for collectors include gloves. Two pairs of gloves were sold for US$ 385,000 each in 2012. One of the gloves he used in a fight against Sonny Liston, while the other he used in a loss to Joe Frazier.
However, that was nothing compared to what UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta paid for a pair of gloves that the famous boxer wore in 1965 against Floyd Patterson. Fertitta bought the gloves in celebration of Ali's 70th birthday, although she had an unusual request when buying them. To finalize the sale, Fertitta demanded that Bob Arum, his rival promoter, admit that he "loved the UFC".
