Mason jars come in a variety of high quality stained glass colors including purple, green, blue, pink, amber, red and of course clear. One of the rarest colors is the violet jar, introduced in 1913. The “Perfect Mason” jar, in violet, was released in 1913.

The “PERFECTION” jars were released a year later in 1914 and were followed by the 1915 “IMPROVED” jars. ago they sell for hundreds of dollars on eBay. Soon, Purple Heritage pots will come to this price as well, as there aren't as many as regular clear pots.
