Beanie Babies are another collection that, while cheap to buy when they first came out, have skyrocketed in value over time. While not all Beanie Babies will make you rich, some have been sold for half a million. An example is the “Princess Bear”.
The Princess Bear doll was released in 1997 as a tribute to the late Princess Diana. The sale of the limited edition doll raised funds for the Princess's memorial. The doll was created after the end of the Beanie Babies craze in the 1990s, but the Princess Bear was so rare that one was sold on eBay for US$ 500,000.
