The universe of country music in Brazil is dismayed and shocked by the confirmation of the death of Matheus, who was part of the duo Zé Henrique e Matheus.
According to initial information, country singer Matheus Zhem lost his life in an accident that occurred early this Wednesday (29), on the Dom Pedro I highway, near the city of Valinhos, located in the metropolitan region of Campinas (MG), inland from Sao Paulo.
As stated in the police report, during the driver change, the sertanejo singer was out of the vehicle when a runaway car invaded the shoulder and hit him. The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident was arrested red handed by the police, as he was driving drunk.
The driver responsible for the incident underwent a blood alcohol test, which indicated the presence of 0.34 Mg/L of alcohol in his blood. He was taken to the Valinhos Police Station, where he remains in custody.
